Downscoping as a skill (subprojecting)

A blocker to action on ambitious projects is their scope. Downscoping a project -- decomposing it as much as possible -- is an important skill.

Scope creep is the natural state of an idea, like a slime mold’s survival drive. Fighting this creep is essential to maintaining a reasonable equilibrium on the hypothesis you seek to answer.
